Presenter’s Profile
With 30years of professional experience and teaching roles under her belt, Ms Sekioka has developed a high proficiency in the areas of English language, social studies, and Japanese culture.
From humble beginnings as a former high school English Teacher and volleyball coach in Shizuoka, Ms Sekioka currently work swith the Japan Foundation Asia Centre, the cultural institution appointed by the Japanese Government to execute international cultural exchange programs throughout the world.
Ms Sekioka has also undergone a significant number of teaching immersion programs and interacted with people from all walks of life and nationalities, from Australia to Canada.
Some other notable programs which Ms Sekioka is currently involve included the NIHONGO Partners Programme which was launched in October 2018 in Nanyang Polytechnic, imparting Japanese mannerism to students. Since its launch, students who partook in the course found numerous opportunities to
interact with people residing in Japan.
